Pierce is playing like shit tonight. Are we watching a different game? Lance would have been my choice as well with the way Pierce is playing tonight.

The only reason to put Pierce in is we're living in the past
I actually haven't watched much of the first 3 quarters, but I'd still rather have Pierce in even if he's had a bad game up until this point.

I prefer the ball in CP3 hand instead of blake.

That touched Iggy's foot clearly

Uh-oh. CP3 hurt his groin last night. Wasn't he dealing with that same injury during last year's playoffs?

Anytime he loses his mind on the court & does something stupid he claims his groin hurts or he has some other injury.
He needs to learn that when he tries to force things on the court they usually don't work out well for him or his team.
When he was playing in rhythm and letting the game come to him early on they were doing well.

The Warriors let off the gas a bit in the 3rd quarter and did not come out as hungry. I think a large part of this was Luke Walton and his inexperience as a head coach. Don't get me wrong, I think he's doing a stand up job so far, but he made some errors against the Clips in the second half.

There weren't many adjustments made out of half-time. Luke went back to the Phil Jackson philosophy and let the guys play rather than stop momentum and refocus the team. Kerr is more of a Poppovich disciple in that regard. He'll call a quick timeout and let the team have it if they're not getting the job done.

In the 3rd quarter, Luke took the ball out of Curry's hand and made him play off the ball, most likely in order to get him more shots. This backfired because the way the Warriors generated the lead in the first place was playing Steph in the P&R against Deandre Jordan. They went back to this in the 4th quarter, let Steph play with the ball in his hands and create for others. He ended up getting 13 in the 4th after a rough shooting 3rd quarter.

Also thought Doc made some big errors as well. I think the major mistake he made in the end was going too long with DJ at center. Blake has become a pretty good P&R defender and would have been more suited to play the 5 against Draymond. Also while Austin Rivers didn't play as bad as some people think, Pierce should have been out there to space on offense and let CP3 and Blake run the P&R.

He should have gone with a lineup of Blake, Pierce, Redick, Crawford and CP3. I would have put Crawford on Barnes and let Pierce be the hedge off of Iguodala if he posted up. Iguodala struggled from the field and would have put it on him to beat you.

Can I take a moment to give it up for Blake Griffin though. I hate the guy, but I can't deny he's become a true superstar. He's taken his game to another level and his mid-range is off the charts good right now. He's also a fantastic passer and now able to affect the games in so many ways. I mentioned before that his defense in the P&R has gone up tremendously. Still think he's a bit suspect in 1 on 1 defense, but he holds his own. Dude is a legit 1st team all NBA player and right now would be above AD for me as a PF if I had to choose one, for one season.
