I would have to think that if the Sabres were not playing a crazy high scoring game against the Bruins, Buffalo would of been #3 in the ratings, and maybe even challenging Washington D.C. for #2?

EJ Hradek wrote a column on it suggesting that if the NHL really wants it to be a showcase and boost ratings, that they shouldn't schedule any other games on the day of the Classic. Good idea. It's not like there aren't plenty of days where there are only 2 or 3 games on the slate anyway.

True, Its the big picture but some don't see it. It's too bad the Sabres were playing an important game against a div rival.

Lets see what the SCF ratings are even if the Sabres are not in it. Apples and Oranges.

Not during the regular season, but perhaps after the SC just to garnish some interest to the casual fan?

Or they can just go with Bears on skates?

Probably be easier (and cheaper) to just go with polar bears.

I've heard that bear skates are pretty expensive and polar bears are used to walking on ice anyhow.
