Nice...
Can't. I'm in recovery. Been sober since Civ 4. Still remember my first hit. Back in college started playing with a friend around 3 in the afternoon. Looked up and it was 2:30 am. So good yet so destructive.
I remember the first time I heard the birds chirping in the morning after playing all night.
No doubt I'll get it. Anyone know what's new and improved?
I think IV is still my favorite but I liked V too. I didn't like the de-emphasis on religion. I understand the need to be global with a game like CIV since I think it's one of those games that is indeed played world-wide but Religion is just such part of the equation in these games that it didn't seem right.
I liked the single unit change in V. Anyone remember Panzer Leader? Moved the game away from assembling monsters stacks of units and actually produced a different approach to the military aspect of the game.
Try the Civ V mods for religion. I also read that brave new world DLC has it too, but I don't have that DLC. I have for sure seen it in the mods though.
The single change unit was ok, good overall but I think in the changes they mention about VI will improve them. Some stacking would be nice
I haven’t played a Civ game in quite some time, I think the last one I played regularly was Civ III Conquests but I’ve always been a fan of Sid Meier stuff including Pirates!Just picked up the all-inclusive bulk version with ALL DLCs yesterday and took my first test drive yesterday.
It looks like it jettisoned the parts of V that killed it for me, and reverted back to more of a traditional Civ experience. Though, the lack of a committed road system is a bit hard for me to get behind (so far, I am still trying to figure it out).
I think I will start a second test drive today with a new leader, again, just to get a better feel. I played with Lincoln yesterday, have no idea who I will try today.
