I could see him as a back up. He's that UFA out of Florida State, right?

I live near Tallahassee and I am an FSU alum. Yes, this guy was fucking awesome in college. He was considered one of the draft' stop LBs.

How the hell did the Bears get him and what did I miss? I know he has some personal issues, but damn! This guy could very well end up being a starter some day.

It was reported/believed he didn't pass a drug test at the combine. Was projected as a 3rd round pick. I'm hopeful that:
A) He's far enough away from home he can change this habit. (and be professional)
B) The leadership that is in place can take him in. Marshall in particular has really impressed me
C) He learns from the vets on how to be a pro. I don't expect much from him as an undrafted rookie...let him get some time on special teams, learn the ropes and what the NFL is all about. Then challenge for some playing time next year- Of course if an injury happens I do think he's valuable depth.

I'm going to be that guy right now.

But I sincerely couldn't care less about how good of a guy he is, as long he isn't a problem in the locker room and stays out of trouble. Live your life how you want, just don't create a mess. Perform on the field and all is well.

You guys got a potentially special football player in Christian Jones. The failed drug test at the combine resulted in Jones not being drafted. Hopefully, it was a lesson learned.

Kid was a 5 start recruit out of HS, and actually got some playing time as a true freshman at FSU. And that wasn't Florida Southern University. Look for Christian to be an impact player on ST this year, and IMO will be a starting LB for the Bears by his 2 or 3 year.

We are in a no lose situation. I'll take it. And who knows, if last years injures is any indication we may see him starting this year. I'm sure not impressed with Green, Bostic, or McClellen so far. I know nothing of him but I like what I'm now hearing.
