Thought I heard he was "day to day with hurt feelings" somewhere. Anyone else hear that?
It's my Custom Title. Awesome quote from Pronger.
What a BS headline though. -4 in the Hawks' three wins? He was a fucking +1 in the first two! Way to distort his performances in Games 1 and 2.
No doubt. He's been the best player in the series for 4 of the 5 games. One subpar game? Give him a break, people!
"I'd like to see that editor out on skates. I'll take them one-on-one on the ice any day," three-time Olympic medalist Angela Ruggiero told The Associated Press. "They obviously have never seen women's hockey and are living in the dark ages.
"Some people are still ignorant. Obviously, it's offensive. It's disappointing more than anything. I grew up playing with boys, trained with NHL players. I would go head-to-head with Pronger any day I could."
A classic from the archives (even if it was staged)
Is there evidence that it was staged? Every time I see it I always hope it ends differently, perhaps with Rome being strangled. If it was staged I dislike them both, instead of just Rome.
Colin Cowherd on the other hand only mentions hockey when he is blasting the sport and it's fans.
Well, he's also the asshole who said that Eddie Guerrero's death didn't need to be mentioned in newspapers, be it in the Sports section or the Entertainment section. Some people just put themselves out there to be hated.
I think the third puck shows that they have a sense of humor about the whole thing- their way of admitting that Pronger is kinda the man right now. The Detroit Free Press ran similar stories from 1997-2002 about Patrick Roy, even once illustrating him to look like Darth Vader, but like The Chicago Tribune is doing with the third puck, they were pretty consistent in terms of acknowledging his abilities. I guess that's all we can ask for from the unbiased journalism of the hometowns.
I don't know where she gets the idea that the picture bashes women's hockey? I thought it bashed figure skating.
