It must be nice to be a fan of an MLB team that actually has chance to sign these types of established talents.

The Pirates could not afford to even keep JA Happ.

I love professional baseball, and the competitive imbalance is not what it was 10-15 years ago, but it's still there and is somewhat of a turnoff.

1) something like 22 teams had payrolls over 100 mil this year. Way more teams could afford a guy like that.
