I had this idea in my head that Langs/Riley would be going after tall lanky white boys who just stand and deliver.

One strange thing: He's very familiar with Mike Riley and Oregon State just from watching TV, but doesn't have the first clue about Nebraska football.

I like how when the pocket breaks down, he scrambles and looks to throw rather than just taking off. Seemingly every play, he runs away from the pressure and finds someone downfield. His throws from the pocket looked pretty good too. What level of football is this? I can't seem to figure out what class Alonso is in.

Noticed that myself. He's running for his life out there and even runs into his linemen a bunch of times. I had Benny Hill music playing in my head. His receivers make some good catches too.

Reminds me of watching Fran Tarkenton back in the early 70's. He'd run around forever and inevitably a receiver would get open. I literally hated Tarkenton until I was old enough to actually respect what he'd pulled off.

Well if Fran had the Alonso OL to deal with he would have ended up as a paraplegic.

Still, I like this kid's ability to find open receivers on the run and his willingness to step up in the pocket.
