Thanks for the memories Chris. I wish you were with the Eagles longer. You have it your all on and off the field. Eagle Nation will miss you on Sundays. Enjoy your retirement.
I'm with you. He was a great Eagle. I wish he was drafted by the Eagles, but it was a wonderful two seasons of having him represent. What an amazing human being he is. He put family and community first. He volunteered a ton for the community along with his donations of paychecks. So not the outcome I was hoping for. In only two seasons I put him right up there with some of my all time favorite Eagles. Whether that makes sense or not, I don’t care. I liked having this guy as an Eagle. Right in the position he was in the last two seasons.
And that wasn’t going to work for him. I respect the hell out of that. These guys literally tear down their bodies all their lives to play the game. I can see quite easily how a guy at the point he is at could say if I’m putting my body up for another go around it has to be more than a sub/specialist role. And the reality is that’s probably not a fit for teams at this point.
That got to be the time to hang it up. Peace be with you in this decision brother....onto the next great thing.
