Help me out. What's the difference between "Y" and "U" formation?
TIGHT END
Y
1. Adam Shaheen
2. Dion Sims
3. Ben Braunecker
4. Colin Thompson
U
1. Trey Burton
2. Daniel Brown
Y is your more traditional in-line TE. U is more a hybrid, big reciever, I believe?
Well, from what I found about Y vs U is basically Travis Kelce was used as a "U".I think the Y is your classic TE spot lining up on the strong side, whereas the U can line up either weak side or in the H spot as a hybrid TE/FB. Now ask me to guarantee that what I said is accurate and I'll run like a coward.
