I am a little confused how that can even be changed... didnt they call forward progress and thats why the time ran... shouldnt the out of bounds not matter, and possesion matter

This. If they called forward progress there was nothing to see.

The guy got FOUR feet in bounds. Then a 5th foot hit out of bounds, then he fell over, then the ball came out. That's supposed to be no catch? So dumb.

I'm a Lions fan who thought the Calvin call was BS but this wasn't the same. In this case he was not going to the ground when he made the catch. He made the catch, got 2 feet down and was upright. Then he was knocked to the ground OB and the ball came loose. Calvin was going to the ground when he made the catch. Imo, Calvin clearly caught the ball and was getting back up when he put the ball down to brace himself as he got back up and it came loose, but the situations aren't the same.
