The Lake show struggling from beyond the arc offensively, and in transition on defense has helped the C's to a double digit lead.

Brewer is coming off the bench on fire, with 6pts, 3 rebs and 1 assist in 7 minutes.

Nick with the deeeeeep three after suffering some defensive harassment, leading to a TO and then a Tech.

Maybe that's what this team needs a little more of, playing with some fire in their belly!

Well it's getting ugly, 20 pt lead for the C's here with a little more than a minute to go in the first half.

I take it back, they are not so fun to watch, especially vs the Lakers!!!

I'm not a fan of the bail out whistle to close a half but if you get hammered at the rim, that's different.

Oh well, it's the C's by 25.

No wonder y'all are doing sumptin else on the very nice Friday night.

Enjoy!

15 pt game down from a 31 pt deficit!

Thanks in part to some much improved defense and a 20 3rd quarter by Clarkson!

It'd be nice if Ingram could figure out how to score. Not saying he's a bust, far from it, but its worth raising your eyebrow a bit that we're this late into the season and he's still this wildly inconsistent. Most rookies, especially franchise type players, are showing steady (if still slow) improvement as the season progresses (for an example, look at the Cs Jaylen Brown). Ingram will have a decent game and then a streak of 5 games of total butt. He's really young, and there are exceptions for guys that play like this and still turn out ok (Dirk, Butler, etc) but its worth noting he's still struggling to this degree

I am not worried about Ingram. He is a rookie. Consistency will come with him. I see his great potential.

My only concern is that he's not being nearly aggressive enough on offense. From what I've heard, the coaching staff is telling him to be more aggressive, but he just isn't doing it nearly often enough.

Maybe Magic can get Kobe to spend some time with him in the off-season and teach him to be more aggressive.

It's at least worth keeping an eye on though. His shooting numbers are atrocious. He's in the mid 30s % from 2 and under 30% from 3. For a guy billed as a silky smooth scorer coming out of college, those results are worth noting as a concern.

Player Season Finder | Basketball-Reference.com

That's a list of players (I just included guard and forwards since Ingram is a bit of both) that had shooting numbers similar to that as a rookie. Draymond Green became a star, there's some decent players in Bogus, Ainge, and Anderson, and then a whole lot meh. Point is, he needs to work his ass off if he's going to reach the potential he was billed as because its rare to shoot that poorly and turn out to be a franchise type player. He might end up being a lot closer to a reliable starter than he is to a multi-time all star level talent.
