Red, that shit just isn't right! I sure wish we had some walleye population on our lake. They've stocked it and occasionally someone will pull a nice size slug from the water but those days are far few and in between.

Sweet limit!

What lake? Something getting to their fry? Not enough cover? Over fishing?

i go to rock rapids iowa for walleye, private family lake (grandpa)

also we go to okaboji and catch out limit, but its kind of like cheating there, in the boat using fish finders and GPS
but it tasted good!

Lake Lanier in Georgia.

Its mainly a Striper and Bass lake. There are plenty of cats, brim and crappie in the mix as well. Trust me, there are plenty of blue backs and thread fin to satisfy the of the other fish rather than resorting to the fry. This is a deep reservoir with plenty of timber and brush throughout the lake.

This is a reservoir established for trophy Striper. I believe the walleye were just an added bonus to see how they would establish themselves.

They are becoming more frequent catches but nothing like the far northern lakes that stock them yearly.

I need to just get up north and do some Pike and Muskie fishing during the spawn......

Electronics is the only way to catch the big girls down here in the south.

I was out last Sunday and my graph was completely black from all the fish feeding below in about 25 feet of water.
Wait until you see the new side imaging graphs that hook into your HDS sonar units........technology is getting pretty wicked for fishing.
