In 1997 and 1998, the Rams hardly knew this guy. If Trent Green did not go down with an injury, they probably would have never known what he could do. And, the rest as they say is history!

Makes you really question what these sports pundits really know

While some are quick too quote the talking heads and media types as cold hard facts. Many times I have found what fans post on boards like this, generally make a hell of a lot more sense. IMO. :suds:

Especially after your post bunc, what the hell ARE these pundits thinking?

Shame on the Rams & the Giants!

Yes hindsight is 20/20 but who discards a future HOFer?

Was anybody paying attention to what Kurt accomplished with the Rams early on? :noidea:

And to be honest, Lienart at Arizona had the same potential to do to Kurt what Bulger and the Rams did AND what Manning and the Giants did to Kurt....

So as fortunate as the Green season ending injury was for Kurt in turn so was also his fortune that Leinart never lived up to his potential Arizona, considering Matt was as a Heisman Trophy winner and a huge College star QB at USC.

To screw the pooch once can be forgiven, but twice? We may have never really known Kurt's HOF potential if we all had listened to these pundits.

When the Rams let him go, he was a shell of his former self. He had a serious case of fumblitis and his confidence was shot. He wasn't much different in NY either.

His last 2 years as a Ram (2002-2003), he fumbled 12 times and threw 12 interceptions in 9 games. In 10 games for the Giants, he threw 4 picks and fumbled 9 times. He didn't truly re-emerge in top form until 2007.

Warner suffered from hand problems for a few years there. I know he had his finger(s) broken at least on one occasion. Something that integral in handling the ball takes awhile to recover from.
