I have a question for all of you. Are your teams College prospects playing in these games? The Islanders play the Bruins tomorrow, but guys like Brock Nelson, Scott Mayfield, Anders Lee & others aren't playing.

No. our roster is almost exclusively from the CHL with a couple from Europe and a few from AHL.

I think there were a couple that came up for the development camp last year, but even there, the college player had to pay his own way
This season, we've got 30 players invited to prospects camp, instead of 48 from last year. So a lot of the guys that have no hope/eligibility for AHL aren't there.

I guess they would have to pay their own way to play in these games or tourney's as well.

yup. they can't get travel, lodging, per diem, anything.
makes it a bit tougher, considering they plan to play NCAA the next season(s) anyways.

So how does THE NUGE look? Is he all that he's cracked up to be?

pretty good, esp in the 2nd period.
wasn't dominating but was a smart player, very aware of where everyone was, and able to move the puck in the seams.
Lander was impressive too. not afraid to go to the net, and good finish (though our goalie was sucking ass at the time)

I think RNH will get every opportunity to make the big club (including at least 9 regular season games). Patience is starting to wear thin with Oilers fans.

Sauve was asked what he learned last year ...

his response "look both ways when crossing the street"

A pic from last night's game (cool stick flex, but how about the two guys wearing Bruins jerseys to a Oilers - Canucks game (not to mention the Canucks fan sitting beside him).
