I'm just thankful it was mayonnaise hands Raymond and not moneyhands on that breakaway

When he took off I was like fuck then I saw it was Raymond and was like yeah we should be good here .

Ferland wasnt credited with a hit after that non call on the charge that he left his feet ... wonder if a ref said something to him?

its like that first period pp where Craig Simpson starts fawning about how Hiller saved the flames and they show the replay and it shows vrbata hitting the post but he just continues to say great save there :ohwell:

The Flames reminded me of the Oilers last night, too many toe-drags and over passing the puck, not a good game from the top line at all.

in the second period, I had to check nhl.com to make sure Hudler was playing

Watching CBC after they were talking about one play where bieksa desperately laid down to block a pass. All of a sudden he's the saavy veteran and not the 3turd that continuously allowed his check to blow past him at almost every opportunity

did the flames look tired to you dash?

Not to me.

I'm still baffled how the Canucks out flat in that game, maybe the flames were as confused as me

Yes they picked it up big time but they still are such a fragile team mentally that if Raymond were to score that goal it's a 6-1 flames win

He was pretty magnificent when he had to be and I thought the 2-1 goal was a lucky bounce off Sedins stick.

Canucks will need to be even better tomorrow in Calgary and with vancouvers play one strong play one weak mentality that's not likely

Im all for ripping the canucks but everything about that goal was what they SHOULD be doing all game long ... starting from the coaching ... flames ice the puck ...

WillieD sends the Sedin line out for an o zone faceoff to take advantage of Engelland/Ferland on the ice
win the faceoff
start of a set play
puck shot low at Hillers feet
Daniel goes to the net
goal!

I dont think they did ... they outshot the flames 17 - 8 in the first and a dum dum play is what caused the first goal

flames top line still stuck at 0 even strength points combined this series

makes its crucial for BRich to play next game to help that canucks pk ... hes being held together with hockey tape ... game time decision the rest of the way

goal!

Still a lucky bounce but you create your own luck by going to the net, I agree with you

In the end yes, I just thought the start and time it took to amp it up it didn't scream of desecration to me until it was 1-0 Calgary

I think it helps if you watch the game on mute (OR EVEN THE PUNJABI BROADCAST!!!) ... that sportsnet/cbc coverage tends to colo(u)r things lol

which past playoff series was it that the CBC kept pointing to the Sedins "combined +/- stat" over and over and over and over and over again

/have they mentioned the flames top lines combined plus minus stat in this series yet?

As far as Backlund's guarantee is concerned, hey maybe the Flames should skate out to this song on Saturday night:
