imho, Tanev just pushed a guy off the puck (with one hand no less).
Boarding is for hammering a guy into the boards. not even close to the case here.
if he falls down with that little amount of force, he had to be on his toe-picks

speaking of Doug MacLean, when he was on the team1040 yesterday afternoon he said PK Subban called him at 1:15am the night before to say thanks for having his back and Doug said he (Pernell) was really torn up about how his fellow teammates reacted publically to the media about him finally getting signed
