If they could let it come to Pittsburgh, that'd be great. *insert office space meme* It'd have success here, espeically if there's some more hometown kids in the tourney as there have been the past few years. I say all of this, and I'll probably be off living somewhere else by then...oh well, an excuse to come home. We're not hockey mecca as some blow hards say it, but we love the game...people would come. That SAID, I don't know if there's a good enough second facility.

I can see Buffalo making a bid again. The new Harbor Center will be done in a little over a year and will have two NHL size rinks in it, it's adjacent to the First Niagara Center. It's a Hotel / Hockey complex under construction now.

I think that could prove to be a big driver for this sort of thing again. Eliminates the need to move so many of the games out of downtown like they did a couple years back.

pix, how about a joint bid with Philly?

/Before you say not in a million years, Calgary and Edmonton hosted the World Juniors a few years ago.

Hahah. The fight over the big games would be hard though...honestly, it'd be better to pair with Buffalo for distance reasons. Philly isn't too far, but 5 hours is still a haul. Oooh, could do Columbus. That'd actually be fun. About 2.5/3 hours?
