I ask because Matt Moore got leveled in the game this past weekend and only was out for 1 play... He didn't appear to lose consciousness but man did he look out of it.

Plenty of other players including QBs have been knocked out and only sit out maybe 2 plays then come back in.

Yes I get these are team doctors "approving" them to play but seriously only 1 or 2 plays and back into the game.

I just don't get it

I don't think there is an easy answer to this one. I agree that there is no way they can diagnose it properly in 30 seconds. At least they are trying something. The effects from multiple concussions are a bitch to live with.

I'd like to slam a 2x4 right down his yap.

For the record, Moore was supposedly complaining about his back, not his head.

hahaha!

But yes, I do remember hearing that about Moore too. Just goes to show how inconsistent the protocol is

True there is really no way to truly see how good or bad someone is. But they shouldn't be allowed right back into the game. I mean if the league truly is trying to prevent or at least lessen CTE then 30 seconds isn't enough

While were on the subject, I'm hearing our C Swanson could be done (as in career over) because of his concussion.

Let me guess.... He got hurt and missed a play but the league let him back into the game after a few plays

The only thing about that Moore hit that maybe plays a factor is being hit in the jaw. I have found that the worse ones are blows to the back of the head. For me anyway and I've had a few. No really serious ones but enough to have long term issues.

true he wasn't actually hit directly on the head area.. then again I didn't see how his head hit the turf.. Either way this protocol makes no sense to me

It's about having a better defense when they get sued by a bunch of widows.

Nobody actually thinks this protocol is doing anyone any good physically.

Yeah I guess... But would that really help when someone dies and its proven he got CTE and the league only had him sit out "one" play?

They're doing all they can...

Not a chance in hell someone could convince me this about health of employees. It's about protecting the owners(the league) from players families down the line. 100% CYA.

I am sure you are right.. But I doubt they are doing "all they can"
