Okie St? They were not undefeated...
No shit, Baylor has the #90 ranked SOS at this point. If they go undefeated, they will leapfrog every one loss team in America.
Baylor has the 96th strongest SOS so far this year, and has yet to play a top 30 team.
Exactly. Add to that fact Baylor started the season unranked.
Most of the experts are now questioning Stanford's current ranking. If Baylor wins out, corrections will be made. Just like last year when both ND and KSU jumped ahead of one lost teams as they kept winning…
Anyone who follows college football understands how it works.
Can you read the title of the thread, first off. Next, OSU had a stronger schedule strength than Alabama, but was viewed to have a worse loss. BB, you are dreaming if you do not think that a one loss SEC team trumps Baylor, undefeated or not. The BSC is based first and foremost on the name of the team, the level of their play and their SOS is secondary.
Hey jackass your talking two different things one Baylor being jumped undefeated and two Okie St missing out as a one loss team.

Name calling doesn't work, sorry your argument holds no water, but the third grade crap has no place here. First off, read the title of this thread. Next, give thought to what you are saying, rather than just going against what I say.

undefeated, but left out
It is all about getting the name teams in, DC, and Baylor is NOT a name team.
Just heard Bruce Feldman on Brando radio lil while ago, he agrees with Dad. When asked if Baylor could be left out even being undefeated his response "they will need a ton of help". I admit I was surprised at his answer, I figured they beat OU(ranked) OSU(ranked), Texas(will be ranked) Texas Tech ( should still be ranked) and it would be a no brainer but... Maybe not? Still not sure (other than Dads explanation which I believe DOES have SOME merit) what the arguement will be if it happens and they get screwed? How many ranked teams will tOSU beat this year? IMO they could get screwed as well, horrible.
To answer your question in a realistic fashion...No.
The Big 12 is a weaker conference this year, I'm not saying they are, but that's how the pollsters and the computers will look at it. The only shot we have is for Baylor to go undefeated and run the table. Besides, I think they're going to be more than 2 undefeated teams at the end of the season.
If they are among 4 undefeated teams then yes there is a chance they could be left out, if they are the only or among the only two teams to be undefeted then they will not be left out....Dad says a one loss team will jump a undefeated Baylor team which would not happen with the computers.
DC, there are FIVE one loss teams ahead of Baylor in the CPU polls now, they have already been jumped........... why do you keep saying the computers will not put a one loss team above an undefeated team when they already have......... If you think there is not name bias in the BSC, you are very much mistaken, the entire reason that the BSC, bowl alliance, etc was implemented was to ensure that 1984 never happened again.
You keep talking about the CPU standings, why? The BCS standings are the only one that matters and there is only one 1-loss team ahead of Baylor in that...why because of their SOS
