Why? The only thing that does is take away from some of the extra talent of the players. It keeps the game moving and smooth. It would just create some chaos in the D-zone when the Dmen just glove it down so they don't have to chase it behind the net while the other team is changing (that's really when it's used most).

My dad approves. Every time he sees it happen, he says they shouldn't be allowed to do it.

Campoli was the guy who's pocket Burrows picked (knocked down a clearing attemt with his glove) for the OT winner in round 1.

He's got a point. Technically you cant close your hand on the puck but it has always just been an unwritten rule that you can if it is only for a second

I actually agree. I think you should be able to swat at the puck but not physically grasp it.

I agree, you should be able to knock it down with your hand but not actually grab it. So hard to tell sometimes though.

I used to be pretty good at making sure the puck slipped into the cuff of my glove when I blocked shots.
Of course 'tried my best' to shake it loose, but that was a good way to get a faceoff. :)

depends, is it north-south biting or is it blindside biting? also, is it extra illegal if you launch yourself into the bite?
and no biting to the head, of course.

/double entendre is double.
