Why was this local kid not pursued?

I know he is a little undersized, but production is production. I think they are missing a good one here.
286 yards and 3 TD's on only 14 carries in the Nebraska Class A state final.

He didn't look like FBS level talent to me when I saw him.

He might prove me wrong though.

GTA may have something to do with it, he has a lot of bags he's packed himself, may have some qualifying issues to go along.

The numbers he has put up over the years just seem ridiculous. This is the same league that produced Ahmon Green, Calvin Jones and Damon Benning. I don't think any of them put up the kind of numbers that Strong has.

That may be so. I don't know a lot about the kid, just that his numbers stand out so much.

NU has been interested in the kid for a few years and he'd have an offer if he hadn't decided to "keep it real" instead of stay out of trouble and kept up in school work like the coaches laid out for him, he was kicked off his HS team at one point. The fact that not a single D1 school offered him says a lot, Northern Dakota isn't exactly a powerhouse FCS school and they were one of the few D2 schools to look past his issues. At 4.6-4.7 40 if he were a few steps faster none of the aforementioned would matter imo even though he's put up some big #'s in spite of

I had hopes for the kid to turn it around and end up at NU but that ship sailed almost a year ago, this isn't anything like a Danny Woodhead type mistake

I don't know how he even put those numbers up.

He was slow and very tiny. They handed him the ball about 40 times a game though and he would never wear down.

I can't believe he did that on only 14 carries in that Championship game.

I don't have a mathematiculator on me but that had to be around 20 yards per carry

I've watched him play (in person) twice.

In the State Championship game against Westside last season and @ Westside earlier this season. He's a tough runner with good field vision.

Snyder will probably find a way to get him in down there and he'll produce.

Not trying to bash him or his numbers but Ive read he's played behind a great OL and system, he'll either prove his offer list right or wrong in college, be one to keep an eye on at SD, they're fucking terrible idk that they've won a game yet this year

I used to go down there 10 years ago or so to Westside's field with a couple buddies and play catch.

That field was amazing.

Overall North is a well coached team. Big guys who play very physical.

You a Westside fan, RA?

Only because my kids are in the district. So yeah I guess.

They are still in grade-school, but we go to the home games where they meet up with friends and I check out the milfs.

Gotcha. Mind if I ask what school? I grew up in the district. Graduated from Westside in '09.

I played lacrosse in high school and they wouldn't let us anywhere near the field. We were pretty good too...finished in the top 3 in the state a couple years. Now the team sucks, but they get to practice and play their games on the field :L

There were a couple times we went and the gates were locked, but usually we just walked right out on it.
