getting torched again today. Even if he is "working on stuff", IMO he still blows. At best, he is a solid #4. Another season of 4.00 era weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This team desperately needs Archie Bradley to be a true bonafide #1 ace as quickly as possible

I couldn't agree more! Barely made it through the 3rd inning after giving up 2home runs and 6 runs total. Not good at all!

Some much for a healthy Bronson arroyo. 7-10 days or more on the DL for back issues. I imagine it won't be the first time...

The rotation needs an ace. Corbin needs another dominant year to really be called one. He's probably the only guy that might crack the Dodger rotation. The rest wouldn't even be allowed the 5th spot.

It's almost unfair looking at the Dodgers roster. They could have a 7-man rotation if they really wanted to without any guy being weak. They need to have a salary cap that matters in baseball. Until they do, this nonsense will plague the game.

While it's hilarious to watch the Yankees and Dodgers outspend everyone by a gazillion dollars and still choke and fail at the end of the day...it gets old.

I have been saying this for two years, the Jarrod Parker for Trevor Cahill trade is the worst trade in Arizona sports history. I think it is far worse than the Dan Majerle for Hot-Rod Williams trade. The fact that the Diamondbacks already announced Cahill will be the number two pitcher behind Corbin is insane. There is no other word for it. It is the same thing as watching Ian Kennedy get torched over and over again and the team still says he is the ace and will turn it around. It is pathetic. Trevor Cahill is awful and the organization is even worse themselves by keeping him.

What about the Marion for Shaq trade?

What about the Marion for Shaq trade?

Hmm well that Nash, Amare, Marion Suns team already had three years of losing in the playoffs and also was struggling with all the top teams in the league in 2008. Plus supposedly Nash wanted Marion off the team and the Suns were responding to the Lakers getting Pau Gasol. It obviously did not work out in the end, but Shaq I thought played really well for the most part while he was here. He even made the all-star team. Also, the Suns had Marion for eight years and there had been trade rumors surrounding him for a while.

My problem with the Parker for Cahill trade is that Parker had only one start for the Diamondbacks at the major league level. He threw 5.2 innings of shut out ball against the Dodgers in the game. Then he made one appearance in relief in the Postseason and struggled but it was not a big deal. His start during the regular season showed how good he could be. I mean he was the team's number one prospect. I was very excited about him. Then Towers comes in and trades him for a guy that stats showed he was a middle of the rotation pitcher.

I remember reading an interview with Bob Melvin during 2012 spring training and Melvin actually said that Parker's stuff is so good and has pitched so well that he believes Parker will be a number one starter eventually. Two years later, the Athletics have won their division two years in a row and the D'backs have finished 81-81 two years in a row. Meanwhile, Cahill did nothing in 2012, was terrible in 2013, and looks to be just as bad as he always is in Spring Training so far. Yet the organization just announced him as the number two starter and it makes no sense. It is almost like they refuse to believe the reality that they need to get rid of Cahill because they do not want to admit their mistake of acquiring him in the first place.

Cahill will win the Cy Yuck this year. Kennedy won it last year so we should have that award locked up two years in a row! Woo.

another pathetic start from Cahill today, and then he gets himself injured. Honestly hope he is ok, but it wouldn't bring a tear to my eye if its discovered he will miss significant time

if Cahill is out, and Arroyo is already out, would only mean Archie Bradley starts the season in rotation

KT just said (as much as he'd say) that Bradley would be next in line should someone be injured and unable to start the season.
