I'm not sold on the idea of Boise joining the Big East.
I know the money is better but the travel will be lacking because of the economy.
Would rather they stay in the MWC for another year or two to see how all the moves work out

right now I heard from 46n2 who's pretty good at this stuff that the big changes will be coming in 2017

we need to be in the Big East for the money during the time in between to expand our stadium and improve facilities en sech.

then get into the Big 12, with BYU likely joining with us again.

don't really want to be in that division.

Right now there is no money in the BE......they don't even have a TV deal

Its gotten out of hand. I'm all for adding talent but there has to be a recognition of the motives behind these conferences and their allignments and how their commissioners control things like bowls selections and money allotted and its just a small group of men.

The travel time for MWC is already bad for Boise State... New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV, Fresno State, TCU: none of those schools are close to Boise State.

I don't think it will be noticed that much for the Big East.

I assume the conference will be divided like this:

Big East - West Division

Air Force
Boise State
BYU
Houston
SMU
(not sure)

Big East - East Division

Central Florida
Cincinnati
Connecticut
Louisville
Navy
Rutgers
South Florida


One team in the East will have to go West... perhaps Louisville.

Terrible. Someone needs to take the Big East out back and shoot it like an injured horse.

It should have just been dissolved when all of this started, and then the other conferences could pick up the teams they wanted.

I've actually read that most think it will be UCF. Not because it makes sense geographically, but because the current BE schools want to stay in the one division and UCF does not have much say in the matter.

The travel is really not a big factor. MWC teams already travel a lot and it is for football only and only a handful of games each year.
