the only advice I have for anyone on the subject is check insurance rates. 2 doors will jack the rates. thats an awesome jeep, we just restored a 1990.

If you want a car that will look like it cost a lot more than it actually does, and will get him laid in high school, a Saab 9-3.

If you're gonna go with that caliber, I'd much rather find an Audi. They are a better overall car, and don't cost as much to fix (unless you're in New England where I believe every resident is given a Saab upon arrival). Saab has kind of a pretentious, douche-bag aura to it. Audi is just a badass car, especially for a high schooler.

My 9-3 got it goin on!

I got the Jimmy from an auction. $1700. Has every option with leather. It's a pretty nice rig for her first vehicle.
Does insurance kill you for the Lexus being that a 17 year old is driver?
