Butterfly effect - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thoughts on this.

I am a FIRM believer in this.
I play POKER, yet once the cards are thrown in, the next hand is determined by that action. ALL hands after that were determined by that 'action' and thus change all future action.

The Seahawks lost in ATL, which made us sad, but that effect allowed us to win the SB the next year.
You believe in this? We did NOT want Seattle to lose, but that loss propelled us to the SB win????

After that terrible loss at KC, NE went on a roll. If they (NE) wins that game, are the results different??

The question is this????

Do you believe that past results don't have an influence on future results?????
Or do you believe that the 'butterfly effect" changes everything?????

Everything is in motion, and Newton 3rd Law of Motion is: "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Therefore, something is causing something to do something.

I believe in the latter DK. When I used to play BJ, would never interrupt a shoot, but more times, then not, a jerkoff plays midstream, plays a hand or 2 and then leaves to go to another table. Changed the order of cards for everyone, and usually get screwed cause of that fuckface

Everything affects another. Since I'm a Niners fan and Alex Smith fan, I often wonder what the effect of Smith's concussion was.

No, I'm not saying that Niners would have won the SB with Smith.

I'm saying that if Smith never got his concussion, they either win or they don't with him, but does that give Kaepernick more development time? On one hand, nothing like a real game to develop you, but that could also teach you bad habits or set too high of expectations. 2012 raised expectations for him. Heck, replacing Smith raised expectations from a project player to 104.1 QB rating Smith had, with ok TDs and low INTs. Not Manning expectations, but not low per se on their winning team.

Does Smith go and lose in the playoffs and thus not get traded to be a starter for the Chiefs but rather as a backup or starter elsewhere? Or do they keep him anyway? If he won, then what? He had two more years on his contract.

My what if isn't all positive or negative, just all around, that even if the results overall were the same, they'd be different, too.

I was that dude standing back of the players. I watched and counted - throw a hun on the table and get a blackjack. Everyone wants to lynch me and I move to the next table. A few wins and they throw me out of the casino. I averaged a half hour.....

Another 1 Southie hmmm. I remember one night me and a friend were playing Blackjack at Foxwoods at 2am, when a long arm comes from behind and the guy asked if he could play behind me and when I turned around to say sure, noticed it was Dominque Wilkins and his brother Gerald who was playing for Orlando played behind my friend. Not like they needed money, but they both won like 10 dimes that night
