I like Lavy as a coach, but I feel the same way, with a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, that was a pretty dumb move. You guys were eventually going to collapse at that rate whether it was against us or the next series. Very dumb decision.

Listen guys....don't buy into all of this public relations face saving crap. I bet 100 bucks that almost every team will or could have a list like the Flyers currently have.

If any of those injuries (besides Pronger) were that bad, they would have shut them down immediately not 1 or 2 months later.

For whatever reason, our boys failed themselves and their paying customers (us) by not playing to their ability in this years playoffs. Sure, we'll debate the living hell out of what those reasons were, but don't let them off the hook with this "list".

I like Lavy as well, I just think he out coached his self this year. He had them do a mini training camp in the beginning of march which was possibly harder than the training camp during the beginning of the season.

This... Totally... Sucks....

No one ever comes back from back surgery the same. He's not going to hit the same, shoot the same, or skate the same. (Or he will, and will be out within a year needing more surgery.)

Im not saying he isnt good. But the Pronger in Anaheim obviously a few years back, used to crush people in the corners. There was no physical presence on the blueline except Mez.

I think Coburn had a pretty good and physical year. He and Mez were solid this year. Kimmo and Pronger were injured so they had lackluster years compared to what we are used to from them. O'Donnell had a decent start to the season and then fell apart later. I'll chalk that up to age I guess. And Carle just flat underperformed.
