Still owed 7MM from Bucs. Could come back on the cheap, too.

I'd love to have him back. This means we won't be signing Nick Fairley however

They will probably still have more space than the bengals claim to have.

They cut Collins and Johnson one year after giving them big deals. Also, are they completely over the cap hit they took from Revis yet?

I don't think they care.... It's dead money, yes.... But at least they aren't giving two disappointing players more NEW money. Both were due big roster bonuses this week. The club probably figures that they need to rebuild and taking cap hits in the early years is a better plan than paying guys you don't want in the longterm.

I think they gave up on Johnson too soon. He was injured a little bit last year and it took him some time to get comfortable in our scheme. I think he just had some issues adjusting to a new defense. He always struck me as the type of guy that gave max effort and he has terrific athleticism. If we get him back, I bet he finishes the season as a top-15 DE.

As for Collins.... Hard to know. He got a reputation here as a good pass blocker, but Jay Gruden had an offense designed to get the ball out quick. And when he played a lot in 2013, he had Whit right next to him and an experienced back (Benny) to help. Maybe he's just not very good..... Particularly if you leave him on an island in an awful offense.

If we upgrade our roster in anyway except from simply filling roster spots with mid-tier guys I'll be pleasantly surprised, keeping my expectations low as usual.
