avoiding arbitration (seems to be a common theme). No terms known at this time.

Brule was a pretty highly touted prospect, in his day. It seems the Jackets weren't the best at developing young players in the early 00's though.

A highly touted prospect who never panned out... should be a perfect fit in Oil country.. :-)

even better he's the perfect height for the Oilers ... under 6 feet (lol)

Doug Maclean rushed him into the BJ's lineup even though he wasnt physically ready. The problem with Brule was that he tried to play above his size. It worked in the WHL but it cant be done in the NHL unless you want an addiction to painkillers. I think it was Mr 210 who basically cracked him in half in Brules first year (broke his sternum)

no financial terms released yet???

/wikipedia says it was Roman Hamrlik who did the damage
