I thought growing old would take longer
Jeff got to my house at about 5:30 am and off to the T station we went. Both of us got about an hour or so of sleep. We get to our destination which was Copley square, where the Parade ended. We had to wait for about 6-1/2 hours, the last 3 in the hot sun, for the duck boats to roll by, but when they did, the place went wild. In hindsight I probably will go to where the parade starts next time as it took about 1-1/2 hours or so to reach us after it started. Jeff and I had front row for it, (well technically we let these 2 brothers about 6 and 9 get in front of us), and I can't tell how I felt as they were going by. When I wasn't losing my voice screaming, I was snapping pics. The only thing that sucked was you only see about 2/3 of the players as the ones you don't see is because they're waiving to people across the street. There was also this annoying teenager right next to us who deserved a bitch slap but his dad was there. This was both Jeff's and my first championship parade and I guarantee you, we won't ever forget it. reports are it's the largest crowd for a championship parade in Boston sports history. There were some Johnny come lately's in the crowd. after the parade, we overheard some college kid say he didn't start watching the Bruins until halfway through the Tampa series and he probably won't watch hockey again. SO WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU AT THE PARADE CHEERING ASSHOLE!!!! Sorry, it needed to be said. Otherwise an awesome day and it was cool to meet Jeff. He's certainly different in person than he is on here. Very laid back. I'll post pics when I get the film developed.
