When I was 12, we lost the regular-season title to Hardees. In the round-robin tourney, they went 2-and-'cue, while we went 1-2, losing to eventual champion Big A Automotive in the loser's bracket. We consoled ourselves with the same, "oh yeah? well you lost EARLIER than we did!" logic, as well.
