Browner gets a raise for last year of contract.

Terms of deal to be announced today. This is not a new contract....yet.

Per OverTheCap: Brandon Browner was in the final year of his contract and scheduled to earn the minimum salary, $555,000. With that in mind that should mean that the renegotiation is actually an extension onto his existing contract. Seattle had around $3.5 million in cap room to play with before the move.

Sounds like they are going to reward him now as an incentive for 2012, plus grease the wheels for a contract extension negotiation later in the season or before FA 2014. Smart move since we got the cap space.

With Thurmond on the roster do not be shocked if he replaces BB next season. They have said he has looked the best out of all the CB in camp right now. From what i have seen i would say its correct. He is all over guys like a second shirt. When they cut he cuts faster, when they turn to look for the ball he turns and knocks it away. If he has knocked the injury bug off his back he could become something special. Kid has mad skills.
