Question. Really want to ride with Booker next year?

I think we can sign a G in FA, move Leary back to LG . Draft the LT and then come back and add some talent at WR ,and RB. instead of DT /OT in rounds 2 and 3 though I really like LBers in the 2nd. A lot of all pro LBer selected in round 2.

A little premature on my part. I'm not sure how good Bolles is. Best for the franchise if he is the LT then you can get a edge rusher or shut down corner, or Barley at the top or trade back and get the best G in the draft. Will have to wait till after the season to get a feel for what Denver is looking for.

I honestly think Leary at LG and McGovern at RG would be better than what we went with this year, a decent combo even. I also think that Talib is on his way out. If there is a starting Corner to be had at our #1 pick and a starting RT to be had at our #2 pick then I'd be happy with that.

I don't think the team can honestly say they wouldn't look at another RB outside Barkley right now without even going through the offseason draft process.

Don't look much into that.

I would expect Booker, Henderson and a rookie RB. You can always get a good RB in rd 3-5 it seems.

I honestly don't know how anyone at this particular time can say "We won't look at a RB in the top 5 rounds outside the #1 RB in the draft right now", just isn't possible to make that conclusion with 3 weeks left in the season and no offseason yet.

They have an idea of where they want to go w/ the position still lol they just know where they are picking, too early for Guice/Jones/Chubb but right in Barkley range. But true, lots can change

PPl losing sleep over Denver winning but the player at #5 looks very similar to the player at #13 over the years. Your argument for the top 5 pick should not be at #5 but #5 of the 2nd round, 3rd round 4th round. I think that is where the value of having the #5 pick is and haow you can improve your team.

Davin Cook would look really good this year in Denver.

I’d be good with having him at LT and Bolles at RT. Would be great to have two young really good bookends on the OL.

But then the natural question - where’s the solution at QB? FA?

I understand the evaluation of these QBs is hard so the less you have to risk to try to get one is appealing .I'm not moving up for anyone but a QB. and I admit I'm jaded now with the blown 2nd round picks Elway has failed to produce but draft capital to me is irrelevant if they can finally secure a QBOTF I'm good.

This becomes a totally different conversation if Denver uses FA to get their QB which I believe is Elways' preferred route to a QB. #4 vs #8 is not such a big deal any longer.

I'd do this all day long. Draft capital is only an issue if you select the WRONG player.
Look at the 2017 1st round pick bottom of 1st round. Will not make the impact Wentz has made.

Bottom line, there is a greater value in a higher pick - otherwise why give a higher picks to teams with the worst record? - I'll take my chances every time.

Sachi was trying to be a genius which doesn't usually work. But he has set up the new GM nicely for this year if he has, and trusts, a good scouting staff.

IMO, Coach is not the issue. This team needs players.


This team needs a QB, slot WR, TE , RB and a Tackle . The D is in pretty good shape to bounce back.
If they don't snap back next year then it will be year 4 since we drafted Lynch.

I hope we keep VJ now. We can build our core with top 10 picks for a few seasons. Until we get our longterm answer at QB through draft we will struggle with a majority of HC's.

If Elway fires VJ and the next coach does not work out either Elway would probably be next one out the door. No one else to blame.
