Who is your X? The go-to and split end, your Z, the quick speedy player, and Y, the slot.

Where did Alshon and Meredith line up last year?

With Alshon gone, and Wheaton/Wright newly signed. It's pretty much wide open competition, and I assume most of the guys will be tried out in a lot of different spots.

Right now, Meredith is probably the best bet to be the "go-to". After that, it's anyone's guess. White, being a former high first round pick, should get an opportunity to win the starting job opposite of him. Wheaton can play a lot of positions, and I expect to see him bounce around quite a bit. Wright also can do a lot of different things.

It's way too early to be asking these questions, as if we're going to have an answer. This team is in the middle of big change. We haven't even seen Wright/Wheaton in a Bears uniform, and White has played so little, that he's also still a mystery.

Meredith is still a No.2 and improving. I like Wright to start next to him. I believe our TE's will have a real impact. This will get settled in preseason. It could go in many directions.

... who the hell is our #1 then? White?

He's asking who OUR #1 is. The correct answer is Meredith. That doesn't mean that he's a legitimate NFL caliber #1 WR. We don't have one of those right now. However, Meredith may have that upside.

Meredith is our 1. Yes. Should be our 2.

Who do you think should be our #1? I'm assuming either White, because of where he was drafted and his upside. Or this is speaking out against Alshon leaving.

I don't think we have a No.1 I like our depth at WR and when you add the TE's it's a lot of options to throw too. But we have no No.1s on the team. Meredith may become a true No.1.

Every QB has a favorite receiver. Who do you guys think will be Glennons? Do you think it'll differ from Trubisky? I got a feeling that if White stays healthy, he will break out as a reliable number 1 receiver and be the fav for both.

I think if White stays healthy, that he's more of a big-play/deep-threat guy. Meredith seems much more like the guy who will go over the middle, move the chains and be the most targeted.

I'm very excited for Meredith. With White, my expectations are basically gone. So, he can only be a pleasant surprise.

Reminds me of the time when Willie Gault left until the Bears signed Marshall.

Willie Gault wasn't good though... and the Bears had one of the best corp of receivers in the NFL for a decent portion of the 90's. Conway, Robinson and Engram.

The Bears will finish last in their division again... :behindsofa:

The 90's were a pretty dark time following the Ditka firing. However, the offense certainly had a couple of very exciting seasons with Kramer throwing to those guys. Only meaningful success they ever had in the Metrodome, was that Wild Card round upset and 35-18 thumping of the Vikings.

God am I glad that place was demolished to pieces... Watched way too many White Sox and Bears seasons go to die in that excuse for a sports stadium.

Interesting mix of WR in the Bears camp. Going to be fun to see who sticks, who doesn't and who ends up on the practice squad. I have a funny feeling Cruz makes the team and may even start.

Oh yeah, forgot about those guys.

It is a pitty the Bears had no one to throw to them.

Well... Kramer set Bears single season passing records in 94 and 95 with them. To be fair.

Not to nit pick.
