I don't believe it either. I don't see how they keep him after he flipped out on the fans and believe the report about everyone getting shown the door more because it seems more realistic. Now, if the Lions can't get the guy or guys they want, I could see them keeping Schwartz 1 more year vs. just firing him to fire him with no one of any real value in place.

I'd be down with Roman as HC. That's be cool.

I have wondered with hindsight, did Mayhew use Xander to keep his job? All of a sudden Mayhew has good draft and FA signings. How much was Xander and how much was Mayhew?

I hope the broom sweeps clean the entire management and coaching staff. The only guy I could see staying would be Xanders.

It's just time to move on. Get a CEO that has a clue and understands what Detroit needs.

The fact Schwartz was almost gone last year is enough for me to think this years meltdown was the final straw. Plus the fact Detroit has the most dead money shows the contracts and signings done by Mayhew were just as bad as the Lions late season decline.

Ford Jr has to know how dysfunctional the Lions have gotten. I just hope they do something about it.

I was happy having Ian say they were gone. Now with having Adam say this??? Not so happy. Adam normally does not give bad info. However he may of been handed bad info.

I am hoping this is just the Lions management saying the right things for now until the season ends. It would make sense not to say you are going to fire a guy if you plan on letting him coach the next week.
