How can you not drive a forklift full of money up to a guy like this?

You have to respect his attitude but he's no dummy either. If the cards play out,even if he only gets one year deal,he's going to make a decent wad and if he makes it thru she season and balls out,maybe makes pro bowl, he will be up for a big contract next year with many solicitors. He's just now getting attention. Have a good productive year, and you will cash out whether it's Denver or not. A one year deal without injury is a gamble on yourself though.
