Looks like it is 3-years for around $18 million. That still doesn't tell us much considering a big chunk of that could be back loaded and money he will never see.

From rotoworld.com said:
3/14/2014: Signed a three-year, $15.15 million contract. Includes $1 million guaranteed. 2015-2016: $1.9 million (+$2 million roster bonus), 2017: Free Agent

Seems like a good signing. I hope he flops in NO though.

Dammit. Pats should have exercised that option.

Seems like a decent deal.

As to how they got some cap money, they just traded Grubbs away which was like $6M+ a year.

Back to back SB wins for Browner.
Going to the Saints? That should end that streak.

I really liked Browner. The rules change after he was signed to NE, made him less effective. If he can adapt to the new rules, he'll be a great signing. In the NFC South, he'll make a difference for them regardless.

With the Patriots at the top of the league in penalties, his value was somewhat diminished.....

LOL I was gonna say, does that mean the saints are gonna win next years superbowl???

The thing browner brings is an attitude, a toughness. He helped create it in Seattle, he brought it to NE's D last year, and he will bring it to NO.....also with that he'll bring about 15 PI's a year and a slew of defensive holdings. but he makes up for it cause he gets away with way more then he gets called for.

not bad for a dude that was holding on to a career up in Canada before Seattle found him

I agree with all. Now that he is left, all those young DB's in NE will keep the toughness lesson. In fact, he was good for the whole team. Might of been a hired gun for the year but he brought it!

Browner & Lewis is a good tandem for the Saints at CB.

Now if Byrd can play like he did before he came to New Orleans, we have a nice little secondary

The saints had a bunch of players restructure and sign roster bonuses in addition to trading Graham and Grubbs and releasing Lofton and PT.

I just left the other board because I have had all I can from know it all pats fan Catchbluefish. I don't think people realize the saints have not had a explosive secondary since 2010. Thats the missing piece.
