I don't see how they aren't the team to beat. Their pitching is top 3 in the NL, their offensive OPS is #2 in the NL, and they been on fire since they called up Puig.

They went 19-6 in July, and 16-3 in August! They will be getting Kemp back and then team will really need to watch out.

I know I could be a little excited here, but when you look at the teams on the field, the Dodgers look good. Who's going to beat Kershaw?

What do you guys think?

I must have clicked on the wrong team and it wouldn't allow me to change it right away. As soon as I was able I set my teams accurately. It's been a long time since I was able to be proud of my Dodgers! I see you're a Yankees fan. What's your take on the A-Rod soap opera? Why don't the Yankees just release him and get him out of there?

I suspect releasing Arod from his contract, without his consent, would result in costly and extended litigation. At this point, it seems the Yankees are stuck with the Arod problem.

I think the Dodgers are obviously one of the best teams in baseball today, but in a short Series in the playoffs, anything can happen. The Braves, Pirates and Cardinals are all quite capable of beating the Dodgers.

Of course, the opposite is true, also. The Dodgers certainly have the talent and motivation to win it all. There is really no way to predict what will happen.

I think the Dodgers have finally played to their potential but there is still plenty of time to go and I know they cant continue to play .800 baseball but I just want to see them sustain and not slump the rest of the year.

...not to mention that the Cardinals and Pirates aren't going anywhere. I don't think anyone wants to face either of them in a 7-game series. It's going to be interesting!

The Dodgers have the SP to go the distance. Question will be staying healthy and whether the BP can keep from imploding. Jansen is terrific. My concern is the Pen getting the game to him.

Overall, the Dodgers have as good a chance as any team.

I agree LA, and im all for being excited for what we are doing but the playoffs are a whole another beast and we still have a month to go in the regular season.
