Here is the comparison of the TWO different "expectations" One based on the idea of conference equality (for those who want to quote W/L records when comparing teams and the other what Vegas thinks will happen.

This indicates that Vegas doesn't think the conference are equal! Time will tell which expectations are closer!

I get you enjoy all this work and you probably think it will vindicate some notion you have of the SEC being elite but it's really all pointless if you don't account for the transfer portal, opt outs, and coach moves.

Agree.

and most of the matchups aren't equal either. It's not possible to pair #1 and #1 , and 2 and 2 of different conferences, as there are crossover matchups with other conferences. so those that beat their chest about X conference going 7-0 or whatever isn't that impressive when the matchup is 2 vs 4 or 3 vs.7..........

It would be interesting to pair up teams from conferences based on 1-12 final rankings and see what the outcome would be. 2v2, 3v3, etc...
