BOOTH OUT 4-6 WEEKS

David Booth's MRI on Wednesday revealed a sprained MCL and the winger will be sidelined for four to six weeks, just as he was finding his stride as a Canuck and as a linemate with Chris Higgins and Ryan Kesler.

The fact Sweatt is nowhere near Oreskovich's size may mean GM Mike Gillis is working on a deal for a big and/or gritty forward, given Oreskovich's demotion and injuries to other forwards brought in to play that role.

thats a weird one ... how does it mean they are working on a deal ?

its more an indictment on Oreskovich that he cant stick for more than 1 game

especially when they are 1 forward short now

looks like Alberts will be playing forward on the 4th line tonight

/also proves the organization is worried that ( if called up ) Mike Duco would start too much shit that noone else on the team could finish // ie he's a rat bastard headcase

if Duco was up, lapierre would be fighting 2 times per game, maybe 3 if they played on the same line

i dont like lapierres odds with that many more opportunities for other guys to put their fists through his face ... especially if Matt Stajan can handle him lol
