Fractured wrist.

:( :( :( :( :(

The good. We are still a ways from the start of the regular season, and it's a broken wrist which won't linger unlike many other injuries.

The bad. He is going to miss all of preseason and possibly first few weeks of regular season. Could be worse but saddens me nonetheless. :( :(

Should stay on the PUP until the regular season starts. Then he will be a few weeks early onto the season. Shouldn't miss much time of the regular season. One report speculates he could start season on PUP which would mean he would miss first 6 weeks of regular season, which doesn't make sense for me with his injury being before PS.

Yeah my guess is they were planning on keeping 4 RB's anyway and can make it through a week or two of the season while having him be inactive if needed. We are what 7 weeks until the season starts though so should have time to heal and be ready even week 1.

Bad news for a guy I like and root for - well - less wear and tear for him going into the season, but he can still run - so he can be ready when his wrist is ready.

De’Angelo Henderson has big opportunity with Booker injury

Maybe Mike McCoy gets to go two for two on De'Angelos' I like Henderson - too. Sometimes - I clean forget the Broncos drafted two Hendersons - De'Angelo will get his reps like this article says.

He is a really good 3rd down option guy with some ability to run between the tackles. Won't be #1 in my opinion but really good complimentary piece until Booker can get healthy. Has some major fumble issues though so hopefully that doesn't show up.

LOL - guys who fumble in college - have a bigger hill to climb when they get to the pros.

Joseph says he expects Booker to be ready by week 1.

We will see. The good thing is he shouldn't miss much of the regular season. Kinda a good/bad injury in a way. The timing is at least good in one way to be ready close to season time. Although with our run game the past two years it would have been nice had he been here for all of camp/PS healthy. But ill take it over getting hurt early in the season and missing half the season.

Many players will not report an injury during their vacation time

The injury actually first showed up during OTA's. I guess it was a very small fracture and he just thought it was sore. Then when he reported to training camp they were doing physicals and asked if anything was bothering him and well because he kept working out the fracture got worse. Found it on the x-ray and obviously surgery happened.

Yeah... Good time to get it taken care of. I mean months ago would have been nicer, but better now then at the end of preseason.

Sounds like he really did just think it was sore from practice so didn't really say anything to trainers. Unfortunately the pain just kept getting worse the more he worked out. So one of those injuries probably could have healed up on its own if caught early but because it got worse surgery seemed like the best option.

At this point though he has done an offseason before so nothing new there. They have the depth at the position to ease him back in and get him some practice reps. And with that position being such an injury prone one anyway I would rather see him be the guy that gets a few carries early and then takes on a bigger work load later in the season.

Well you know. It is camp so he could have just thought Rosey was a little worn out.

I think the McCoy offense used in SD - and formerly with the Broncos - and so far this camp - fits Booker to a tee - he has an opportunity for a breakout season. D. Henderson is - so far - making the most of his chance. RB is not in as bad shape as edge rusher - all of a sudden.

More injuries today from the NFL

Browns S Ed Reynolds significant knee injury.

Bengals S George Illoka knee injury, doesn't appear serious

Chargers OLB Joey Bosa, disloacted fingers. Nothing here, but he has been banged up a lot early in his career.

Chargers WR Mike Williams- As we know he has had back trouble. He will miss all of preseason and sounds like possibly at least the first 6 games of the season if not the entire season. More to come there.

Seahawks 2nd round draft choice DT Malik McDowell. Hurt in ATV crash. Sounds like his season is over. Head and facial injuries. Not career or life threatening but looks like possible season ending injuries. He is in a hospital in Detroit.

update on Crockett Gilmore TE Ravens. Torn MCL he will be out awhile... Gary Barnridge can you say?
