Game Thread: Boise State @ BYU - Friday Night Football

Right now, Vegas has BYU at -7, with an o/u of 61. I will take Boise to beat the spread and the over on points.

Should be an offensive shootout, unlike last years 6-7 defensive struggle. Grant Hedrick is getting his first collegiate start at QB for Boise State, taking over for the injured Joe Southwick. Both he and Jay Ajayi are expected to have a good running game against a decent BYU defense led by Kyle Van Noy. BYU's Idaho born Taysom Hill is the leading rushing QB in the nation but his passing struggles have led to the Cougars turning the ball over a lot this season.

A lot of fans in Boise are looking at this game as an exhibition, as it has no real effect on our post season. A BCS bowl is extremely unlikely for BSU even if they win out and beat a top ten Fresno team in the CCG. Boise has one thing on the mind and that's getting to that Championship Game. BYU does nothing to get it the way of that. Still, I hate BYU and I want BSU to kick the shit out of them.

Wow....I knew BSU owed the State of Utah, but 21 in a row? That makes the possibility of a loss a little easier to swallow. With BSU down this year, this should be a great matchup....can't wait!
