We have like 6 guys on the roster that can create their own opps and score..and we just released one. That makes tonnnnnns of sense.

Not saying Butler has been lighting it up but wtf are our other options? Josefson? Give me a break.

Well in regards to Matteau he can provide something without scoring. He's a physical guy, can throw the body and is more responsible defensively than Butler.

I liked him, but I'm not losing sleep over it. He's not the answer to our problems. Hopefully this is a move to make room for a trade. Who knows, but I have faith in Lou and PDB that if this is what they thought was the right move then it is.

he may not be the "answer" but IMO he's departure leaves the question in a bigger hole... not many guys outside of Kovy has that quick release shot, we're all asking for scorers yet we lose someone who could be a threat(obviously not done so but he offers offensive ability)...

i wonder what move is brewing... and why did we waive him? couldn't at least we trade him for a pick or two?

In all honesty, he had 1 goal and 1 assist in 14 games, and was a -6. I'm not sure why we like this guy who is 25 so much more than Tedenby, who had 1 point in 4 games, and is 3 years younger.

yet though with ted i have noticed butler out there. he might be a -6 (which is a stupid stat) but he usually is in the right positions.

i dont know how that waiver stuff works on sending down and claiming other players. he passed the first time early in the year im sure he will clear this time too.

funny thing is barch is replacing him? would you rather barch or butler out there?

really would've liked to see butler loko and kovy for an entire game.

Butler also had some(from what i saw) good puck handling and passing... plus he plays(tries) 2 ways more so than teds....

I don't get it... maybe in a week we'll all know why but I don't understand what happen outside of practice...

maybe he was a bad teammate in the lockerroom or wasn't taking practice seriously but wtf... on the ice, i didn't see an overwhelming reason to "waive" him...

I'd almost rather have traded him for a nonsense pick than waived him. There has to be something more to this right? I get scratching him if he wasn't producing, but it is a weird move for sure.

What are the odds we see Frankenstein/Tedenby again? Maybe he becomes a total badass after the accident. Giant facial scar, foreign accent, he could be like a Bond Villain.

Extra contract spot for a trade. Lou just picked up two players without trading any away so maybe he's up against the limit.

Either that or Lou wrongly assumed that Bulter would clear again. I doubt that though because his play was strong enough to get picked up by someone

Could have been at the 50 contract limit and they need to sign Reid Boucher imminently. Same thing with Merrill I think.

Hey Cup, not sure who Barch replaces but I think he should be in the lineup right now. After watching Buffalo antagonize some of our better players, we need a guy like Barch in there to keep the opposing team honest.
