Delayed payment has that already baked in. The Mets have access to the money until ‘34 while Martinez does not. It is essentially a 10 year load.Um... So, nothing for 9 years?
"The Mets will only pay $4.5 million of that total this season. The rest will be paid out from 2034-38, when Martinez will make $1.5 million each year."
And, it mentions noting about interest or inflation adjustments....
