Well, the fact remains that he was a different player outside of Fenway. Both in 1978 and for his career.
He was HOF caliber in Fenway (.320/.374/.546), largely average outside of it (.277/.330/.459)
I honestly don't get why Evans didn't get more love from the HOF. IMO, watching both, he was the better overall player.
