He left the field before the end of the game.

"If you don't want to be here, don't be here," Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey told reporters Tuesday. "He had a decision to make as a man, and he made it. You know the consequences."

So Blount's consequences are going to the Super Bowl. :noidea:

This thread is a perfect example of fans refusing to acknowledge the truth about a player simply because he is on their favorite team.

true!

but the whole notion that Blount 'orchestrated' getting out of Pittsburgh is ridiculous. He's not a mind reader. He didn't know how the team would handle what he did.

You couldn't be more wrong about PIT's locker room if that's what you think...

100% attitude issues... Selfishness to be exact

Never been in the Steelers locker room so I won't even go there.

100% attitude issues........100% agree......I'd have a piss poor attitude if someone wasn't allowing me to attempt to reach goals on my incentive laden
contract.

Selfishness to be exact.......100% agree.......I'd want a chance to get the incentives in my contract too. Especially when the my boss keeps telling me I'll get the opportunity and then doesn't give it to me.

Sorta like applying for a job. You get the job offer. You accept the job offer to sort paper clips by size for $2000 a week. When you get to work on the first day, you have to load 100 lb bags of cement into pick up trucks. Friday comes and you get your first paycheck. Gross pay is $600 and take home is $420. Are you going back to work next Monday???

Risking losing your rare multi-million dollar career forever? Yeah, I would be back at work next Monday. Same thing would happen in NE if they had a better RB.

I gotta agree with the Steeler fan on this one. While I don't blame Blount for being pissed the fact is he was getting paid a helluva lot of money to stand on the sideline and rest his legs. Leaving the field while the game was still on was crap. He could've been rooting for Bell who just brought his team back.

For some reason he seems to fit in good with the Pats. Just the same, we'll see what he's really made of on Sunday. This ain't the Colts. I don't think he'll be back next season.
