The 6th seed is now a possibility for Portland, and Hell, given the GRizzlies injuries and Portlands surge, they could even be looking at the 5th seed. Big outside shot for that 5th seed, especially given Portland's tough schedule to close out the season, but its there in their sights.

Terry Stotts has to be the leading candidate for Coach of the year?

I would say if Portland makes the playoffs, he should win COY. IMO it should be him or Brad Stevens.

Luke Walton?

I had this debate with my brother earlier. We agreed that if Kerr was out for the season and Walton led GSW to 70+ wins then I would give it to him but considering he only coached 40 or so games (can't remember the # of games), I don't think there is anyway you can give Walton or Kerr the award

Portland now 30-27, playing red hot basketball right now. Which is needed considering their upcoming long East coast road trip.

Currently tied for 6th with the Mavericks, and only 3 games behind 5th place with the ailing Grizzlies.

This group is really special and fun to watch. Lillard and CJ are scoring machines....If Portland can somehow use their cap space this offseason to get a legit big man they will be pretty darn good next year.

Big game up next vs the Rockets, which will be in Portland. Last home game before their road trip. Must win game for Portland.

Huge night of west coast basketball.

Portland vs Houston

Utah vs San Antonio.

If Portland gets the W and Spurs beat the Jazz, what a good one!

Portland up 18 mid 2nd quarter.......wow Rockets, jut wow.

Seriously LOVE Portland's backcourt. Once they add a solid inside threat they are going to be scary.

They made a mistake by trading Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, should've held on to him on Draft Day. Perfect do-it-all type of guy that does the dirty work kinda like Draymond does for the Splash Bros.

Yes get a legit big guy and they will be contenders next year...IF they actually spend their cap money.

What I love about this team is the players, together, demanded no trades be done this year. They truly believe in themselves and enjoy playing together. That is something extremely special and rare.

Granted, they do need a legit big man threat to be real contenders, but they are proving this year they can win without one.

crappy loss....huge lead blown...not the way you want to go into an East coast road trip...

Houston is one team I cant stand losing to.

Gotta go 4-2 on this road trip.

Harden just took over down the stretch. Flopped a couple times too.

One of those fluke things that happens in the NBA. Portland went stone cold just when James Harden decided it was time to lose his damn mind.

Considering everything the Blazers lost in the off season, for them to be where they are now, is pretty amazing. I think most expected them to be hanging out near my Lakers. Like @Arizona_Sting said, if they get an inside presence, they're going to be scary.

Yeah, but Portland had a huge lead, and over the past few years it has been a common trait for them to blow big leads.

Just a let down after being so hot recently, and especially the fact Utah lost, which could have given Portland a few games up for the 7th seed and still chasing that 5th seed. Would have been a great win before this long road trip.

Portland can't let this one slip away with no Rose or Butler.

That was a close one. Wasn't pretty since Chicago was without two of their stars, but a win is a win this point in the season, and especially when you're starting out on a 6 game road trip.

Good W for Portland.

AND Houston lost, so that is nice.

entering the 4th quarter vs Pacers....up 10 87-77 after playing Bulls last night.

YEp, looking at the lineup, Lillard isn't not playing due to rest.

Seriously, hold on to win at Indiana would put them up already 2-0 on this 6 game road trip......I did not account for them beating Chicago or Indiana on this trip.

95-79 right out of the gate of the 4th quarter....just hope George doesn't go off like Harden and Portland holds onto this big win.
