I'm getting more and more reads that he is a sell high right now. Should I trade him for someone who hasnt hit their season peak yet but is just as good as he is?

Actually should I package him with Trout? Maybe that could help me get a deal done with pitchers.

I would agree that he is a sell high. He's not, batting champion-good, so he is going to have a regression stint soon (maybe it has already started). As for getting a deal done with a pitcher, if people aren't jumping at Trout, I say keep him, because it won't be worth it when he goes on a tear. Definitely put Blackmon's name on the block and see what kind of arms come your way.

Yes I know. Thats why I was wondering if I doubled the offensive value(for now) maybe somebody will bite? I could still ask for ace, top second-tier pitcher, and a second tier OF possibly. Like a Pence or Holliday.

Fine to try as long as you get enough. I think Blackmon is for real though.

Always has had an average near .300, and now his K rate is nearly half his career average. I think he finishes the season hitting .310 with 20 HR and about 25 SBs. Hitting atop the best offensive lineup in baseball, that looks pretty damn good.

There is always risk that he loses ABs when Cuddyer comes back, but as good as he has been, he should get 550-600 ABs.

Yeah, thats true but I guess if these go through I'll have to act quick on Polanco and Taveras(word is he is maybe a week or so away from coming up if some poster on his profile page is telling the truth).

I made three offers but I threw Rendon in with them. I offered Trout, Blackmon, Rendon for Felix, Porcello, and Bruce; I offered the same three for Darvish, Cole, and Kemp; I offered the same three for Scherzer, Latos, and Pence.

I would take the Felix trade down right now. I think that is waaaaay too much.

As for Taveras, I hope he is right, but barring an injury the only place Taveras could play is center and the Cards don't like his defense there. There is a good chance we don't see Taveras among the first wave of June call ups, and even if he gets the call, he is no lock to be an impact player in a league as shallow as yours.

Btw I have a draft for a league on CBS Monday. I decided to join a third league to have one I can hopefully dominate.

the problem with selling is that nobody knows about him... people always assume that players who come out of nowhere will not last... and he has slowed down recently...

The good thing about his slowing down though is that he still is stealing bases, and still gets the occasional HR... so you are probably not going to get much value for him, but he is outproducing everyone, and looks like worst case he will still be productive...

Agreed.

If someone will give you a 3rd round player for Blackmon, then take it. Otherwise, you are not selling high because I think he is really, really good and you will likely short yourself by trading him.
