I don't care where he's at or what he's doing, just as long as it is not associated with Nebraska in any way. Some of the things he destroyed had stood for 30-40 years. But now that gives Bo and the other coaches and players a chance to start some new records

I actually dislike peterson more, He fired a ok coach for him. He had to take like the 5th choice b/c he could not find anyone decent.

I'm with you..Pederson was the one who put the traditions in the closet.
He had his idea of what NU football was all about and wanted to make a name for himself.

Remember all the talk around when Callahan was hired. Pederson was going after Nutt, then Davie, then Wannestadt, then somebody else. It was flippin embarrasing.....Callhan was 4th or 5th choice out of desperation. and i think an ex-husker on the raiders did recommend him for the job.

Callahan's name doesnt upset me as much as Pederson or Cosgrove. Callahan was a decent coach and had the offense playing very well. If Callahan got rid of Cosgrove he still might be in Lincoln.
but still - i think Cally looked at the Nebraska job as a stepping stone to get back into the NFL and then fell flat.
At least we went through some hard times so we can appreciate what we have now.

Exactly..... Callahans biggest fault was hiring his friend... and not having the balls to fire him.... If Callahan would have had a good dc... he'd probably still be our coach and he probably would have done well....
