Did you see the other 11 teams?

I watched a little of the Wisconsin game and they didn't look awesome to me, but they looked pretty good. I know USC isn't as good, but Minnesota only lost to them by 19-17. Northwestern went on the road and beat BC without their starting QB.

I may be wrong, but I assume most if not all the BIG teams we play this year are WAY better than the team we played yesterday. Four field goals? Come on that's ridiculous. Well at least we have a good field goal kicker!

Like I said before, we'll get a better idea about where we're at against Fresno and Wash.

As a Wisconsin fan I'm a bit concerned about the Nebraska game. UNLV didn't kill us with the run or anything, but they put together some solid drives and we had trouble stopping them late in the second half with our first team on the field. Hopefully it was just early season conditioning issues that'll fix themselves out, but whatever it is, it needs to be fixed quick. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that Nebraska has a better rushing offense than freaking UNLV.

I'm not really concerned on the offensive side of the ball. We'll get enough points to win games against anyone; I just hope we can hold the other team down enough to let those points hold up.

I'm with Vadered. The one thing I will say about the defense is this.... They'd been on the field a long time before UNLV really started to blow the D-Line off the ball. I'm hoping it was more conditioning than anything, because even our usually stout DTs were getting pimp slapped.

Anyway. The B1G will be more interesting than I was hoping this year. Ohio State looks prepared. Michigan looks...better than I thought they would. Minnesota is well coached apparently?

Personally, I think Iowa will have a rough season, don't tell them I said so. Actually...go ahead and tell them.

I may get accused of coming here just to bitch by at at least one guy, but I don't give a shit, because from what I've seen by the Nebraska game yesterday, unless we improve dramatically, especially on offense, Wisconsin will win comfortably. I hope I'm wrong!

Yeah, and you also have to account for our offense not helping them out by scoring so quickly, but still. You hope that by September your team is at least ready to play 40 minutes on their side of the ball...

And yes, I dislike Ohio State winning 42-0. Not that it necessarily means anything against that team, but winning a close game would have, and the fact that they came in and did what they needed to concerns me. And oh boy, can't wait to play a well coached Minnesota team on the road. And then there's Nebraska, and Michigan State, and the Badgers always seeming to fail to show up at least one game a season, so I'm worried about ulcers and chewed off fingernails.

Ya, I think I said in another thread that I'm worried about Borland, too. Doesn't look ready. And I don't like him at middle linebacker. I want him to attack more like Clay.

We should be able to rely on that power run again while we sort this crap out. Oregon State looked pretty bad, so hopefully Wilson and the offense will bury them in a hole early and hang on. And hopefully Brennan will sharpen up a little just in case...because good lord...he's bad.

And the whole point is, this all needs sorting by the time we play the Huskers and move into the B1G schedule. Fire up defense!
