For me, it's the WR depth.
Ginn limping, Walker not sure if he's going to play.
What if another guy goes down in the game, like Crabtree?

Has anyone heard of any updates on Walker and Ginn?
I hope they both play.

This is a game, offensively, IMO, our WRs need to step up. Crabtree and KW both need sure hands and get open cuz I feel the giants will play plenty of zone..... and use their 4 men rush.

my biggest concern if if they stop our run game? while not expecting we'll run at will, hoping its good enough so they can't just rush upfield.

I don't believe their LB corps to be good enough to offset a healthy dose of draws, screens, etc. that we hopefully would come with. The Giant D pins their ears back from the jump which is why I would love to see us scheme to counter that. I don't have much respect for their LB group and their secondary is banged up.

i'm more than fine with draws, but don't think we execute screens well? if my opinion on screens is incorrect, then dropping it now? in general, just don't want to call plays we execute poorly?

getting back to draws and runs overall, we'll have to keep mixing in a few up the middle, enough to keep them honest. half might not gain a yard, but we should still mix it.

Terrell Owens - yes i said it, lol

Crazy as it sounds, I wish Braylon or T.O. was stashed on our bench just in case. How could you not want an additional receiver like that for the NFC championship?

You think if you inserted either of those 2 receivers into the lineup, they would step their game up regardless if they were disgruntled or whatever, it's the frickin NFC championship both of them would want to showcase themselves.

My biggest concern is the past rush of that front 4 if we control LOS that will be huge.

yep, that rush is a concern.

maybe a FEW quick hand offs up the middle will help? a few draws? if our run game is effective enough, that'll slow them down.

if they have too many in the box, throw quick, short passes. this is where Crabtree has to make those catches. then hold that ball tight to his body, cause to me he's the worse with the way he holds the ball.

Mine too; but more specifically my main concern is whether Alex has gotten good enough to feel the pressure & get rid of the ball. He did a great job of that against the Saints (other than a few plays). I hope he's just that much better now because he struggled with it in the regular season.

if we run effectively, we reduce the number of times those four guys rush.

Just thought of another concern that irked the heck outta me. Let me ask first does alex have the c,ontrol to audble out of a play especially 3rd down? Ok I ask cause against the saints when I an iknow everyone else too including alex lol knew the saints was sending like 6 to 7 rushers out numbering our OL n rb. Now alex got sack a few times base on this scenario and we where forced to punt why the staff never called a quick slant it seems to be the most effective play against a all out blitz. The game winner was a te slant just think we should ve ran more slants against those all out blitzes

gore can't be stopped! if we stick with it he'll break a couple long runs. plus their safeties are most likely going to be worried with vernon. if not, vernon post!

Alex always calls two plays in the huddle. Then, depending on the defensive alignment he chooses to go with either the first play or with the second play. As for changing both plays to something else entirely I don't know, but I would think he has 'some' autonomy to do that in certain situations.

Regarding the slants, because of the way Williams disguises his blitz's and rotates his LB's & S's into coverage the quick slant is not always available. However, with that said, 'hot routes' are built-in to every passing play. So while Alex & our receivers do not 'sight adjust' Alex does have outlets on every route.

I still don't understand why Braylon was cut.

He was not arrested, didn't piss out any drugs for the NFL, etc.

I still think it sucks that he was let go for whatever reason.
